Aircalin, the home carrier of New Caledonia, announced yesterday that it will be marketing a “flight to nowhere” from and to the Tontouta International airport, located 50 kilometers north of Nouméa, the capital city.
Even if it’s not clear yet when the first flight will take-off, the air cruise ticket will be sold at around 30,000 francs (approximately 395 AUD) fo a 2-hours long flight.
Landscapes
Passengers will be flying over the world known Heart of Voh, in northern New Caledonia, then heading towards Tanna, Vanuatu, and its famous volcano – the Yasur -, and back home via the Isle of Pines, an iconic island off southern New Caledonia, before landing back to Tontouta.
The passengers will fly on the brand new Aircalin A320neo and will enjoy stunning views of New Caledonia landscape, lagoon and reefs.
