The French Polynesia Office (OFB), a public institution dedicated to safeguarding biodiversity, is launching three calls for projects in favor of biodiversity in partnership with French Polynesia. Applicants have until May 13, 11:59 a.m. (Paris time) to apply.
Created on January 1, 2020, the OFB is under the supervision of the French Polynesia’s Ministries of Ecological Transition, Agriculture and Food. One of the insitution priorities is to respond to the challenges of preserving life.
Its Overseas Lands and Seas program, know as Te Me Um (for Terre et Mers Ultramarines, in french) program aims to support the needs expressed by stakeholders in the conservation of biodiversity in the eleven French overseas territories, including New Caledonia and Wallis and Futuna.
In French Polynesia, the Te Me Um program is broken down into three calls for projects
– a call for micro-projects to support initiatives in favor of the preservation of biodiversity overseas, support small structures to engage in a first project management experience and complete the missing funding within the framework of a more ambitious project;
– a second call for companionship projects to strengthen the skills of biodiversity stakeholders;
– and a third call for partner projects to help bring out local and partnership initiatives in favor of biodiversity.
More detailed information is available here (in french) and on the Overseas Lands and Seas Twitter account.
