The local government announced today its decision to extend this measure until 31 July 2021. Which means that a designed flight program will be operated by the home carrier Aircalin to and from Tokyo, for people travelling to mainland France or flying back home in New Caledonia.

Time to time repatriation flights will also be operated on the Sydney, Vanuatu and French Polynesia routes.
And the regular service beteween Nouméa and Wallis, located between Fiji and Samoa, remains unchanged.
Paid quarantine
Individuals who would like to enter New Caledonia will have to pay to spend their quarantine fortnight in a designed hotel. The price will be 500,000 CFP francs (approximately 36,715 AUD) and the terms of access to this benefit will be detailed in the following days, the governement said.
