To support the sale of electric cars
The Caledonian Energy Agency aims to help New Caledonia achieve its energy transition. The agency has decided to offer a 20% discount on electric cars, buggies and scooters. The aid is capped at 7781 Australian dollars (600,000 CFP francs). The agency will pay the difference directly to the sellers of these vehicles, up to a maximum value of A$77,819 (6 million CFP), and could help around a hundred buyers. That’s more than the number of electric cars currently on the road. Caledonia’s objective is to have 50% of electric cars on the road by 2035. An impossible target. The question is whether we will get very close… or not…
