Construction could begin in less than a year.

It will be a real revolution for the inhabitants of the small island of Futuna. There will be a scanner and a mammography machine. Pregnant women and babies will receive much better care. There will also be an emergency service.
The project is entirely funded by the French government. The work will take around two years… in theory. Futuna’s isolation could, of course, greatly increase this timeframe.
Futuna is the archipelago’s smallest inhabited island. There are around 3,000 inhabitants. Wallis has around 8,000 inhabitants.
