They were swept away by the river’s current.
A pregnant woman in her thirties and three children aged 7, 6 and 4 were still being sought on Monday morning in the Papeno’o valley, following the tragedy that occurred during the weekend’s severe weather. On Sunday evening, at around 4pm, two vehicles crossed a river. The second pick-up, with five passengers inside, stalled while crossing. At that moment, a flood swept the pick-up and the six people into the river.
