The national police are currently conducting operations to dismantle illegal bingos in the Noumea region.
Every day dozens of illegal bingos are organized in Caledonia. Gambling is prohibited in Caledonia. Only the official bingo and casinos have a legal and permanent existence. Occasionally, associations are allowed to organize bingos, but they must be declared to the administration and receive an authorization.
These wild bingos can have a high turnover. However, the game is not the only objective of the organizers. Often there is also food, drink and smoking. It is therefore a parallel and completely illegal economic activity.
