Wallis and Futuna came up trumps. The small French archipelago made a big splash at the Paris Agricultural Show. This is one of the major events of the year, attracting more than 600,000 visitors over 10 days each year.

This year, the archipelago was present along with Caledonia and French Polynesia in a 500 square metre ‘Pacific village’.

This was the first time that the three territories had shared a common space.

Wallis and Futuna had brought a selection of local products, including dried bananas, jams, pepper, turmeric and tamanu oil.

The stand stood out for its entertainment, including dances specific to the archipelago.
