The State increases aid by 45
The Ministry in charge of Overseas Territories in Emmanuel Macron’s government has decided to increase the amount of aid for territorial continuity. This is a monetary aid that aims to reduce the cost of air tickets. The idea is that the inhabitants of French territories scattered around the world pay roughly the same price for their travel to metropolitan France. Thus, the amount of territorial continuity aid for travel between the territory of Wallis and Futuna and metropolitan France is now set at 147,375 francs (1235 euros), instead of 100,955 Pacific francs (846 euros). This is an increase of 45%.
