Arriving from Nouméa, the d’Entrecasteaux, an overseas support and assistance vessel from the Armed Forces of New Caledonia, is currently making a stopover in Mata-Utu, Wallis island.
Surveillance mission
This stopover is part of a maritime surveillance and fisheries police mission in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of Wallis and Futuna.
After having docked at the port of Mata-Utu on Monday, October 12, the Lieutenant Bastien Salasca was welcomed by Christophe Lotigie, general secretary of the islands Wallis and Futuna.
The d’Entrecasteaux will take off on October 15 to resume her mission.
